Speed-the-Plow is a showbiz satire by Pulitzer Prize-winning writer David Mamet and has been praised by Newsweek for its "dazzling dissection of Hollywood cupidity".

This biting comedy with fast-and-furious dialogue is a story about movie exec Bobby Gould's best buddy who has just pitched him a crass action flick that's a surefire blockbuster. But Gould's gorgeous new secretary is pushing a "conscience" film - and she's got after-hours access that could sway his green light. Who's the real showbiz player?

Film & TV on DVD
I love all Mamet's work. Always wished I was able to see one of his plays live with original cast.

Oh well the curse of living at the bottom of the world.
