Macy's Tree Lighting Ceremony 2007

November 15th 2007 00:15
Macy's Tree Lighting Ceremony 2007

The Macy's Tree Lighting Ceremony is held the day after Thanksgiving at Union Square in San Francisco.

This annual tree lighting spectacular has been Macy's gift to the city of San Francisco for 17 years: the Tree Lighting ceremony and events in Union Square, benefiting UCSF Children's Hospital.

For $10 each, members of the community may sponsor a light on the tree for a worthy cause with all proceeds going to the UCSF Children's Hospital for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

The mayor of San Francisco, other dignitaries, celebrities and Santa will have the honor of flipping the switch that lights up the tree.
