Lombard Street

Lombard Street is a famous stretch of road in San Francisco billed as one of the most 'crookedest' in the world.
Built with eight sharp hair-pins (switchbacks) on a 40-degree slope, the street attracts hordes of tourists who come to watch people drive - or drive themselves - down the crooked 400m long red brick road with plentiful flowers on the embankment.
There are sidewalks along Lombard Street and the best place for photographs is from the bottom, looking up.
When?
All year round.
Where?
Russian Hill
Between Hyde and Leavenworth St.,
San Francisco, CA.
