Original Art & Crafts and Live Music
The annual KPFA Crafts & Music Fair returns for 2007 and is the largest weekend holiday craft fair of its kind in Northern California. Now in its 37th year, more than 10,000 collectors, craft enthusiasts and holiday shoppers can be expected to attend this signature event that features high-quality, original work created by crafts makers and artists from throughout the United States, a gourmet food pavilion and live music. Proceeds from the Fair benefit KPFA 94.1 fm, the country's first nonprofit listener-sponsored, free speech public radio station.
This year, East Bay Heritage Quilters (EBHQ) will display quilts from their Children's Quilts Project. Every year, this organization makes over 1,000 quilts that are distributed to children living with AIDS and HIV, children born drug-addicted and children without homes.
