Circo Zero: Sol Niger
September 13th 2007 02:40
A project of CounterPULSE, Circo Zero is a live performance of current and historic social realities.
Combining contemporary dance and performance art, the show forges a dynamic synthesis including circus, theatre, visual art and live music.
Performing at the Project Artaud Theater is the Sol Niger, an intimate spectacle that investigates current political realities. The performance is a poetic hybrid of aerial circus, contemporary dance, music (live music for piano, prepared piano, and electronics) and visual design that
includes text, projected video, and experimental performance.
Sol Niger is Latin for black sun and refers metaphorically to a solar eclipse.
