The Carnaval San Francisco celebrates its 30th anniversary this year with a huge bash taking place in the Mission District over Memorial Day weekend on May 24 and 25.
The Carnaval is California's largest annual multi-cultural celebration and this year's special theme is "Many Cultures - One Spirit" showcases the very best of Latin American and Caribbean cultures and traditions with a diverse array of food, music, dance and artistry, including works created by the talented community of Mission District residents and Bay Area artists.
One of the highlights of this event is the Carnaval Grand Parade which starts at 9:30am at the corner of 24th and Bryant streets on May 25.
